As part of the “Assistance: The Legislative Ensuring of Gender Equality in Ukraine” project, a roundtable discussion entitled “Mechanisms of Protecting from Discrimination Based on Sex” took place on June 13, 2007. Participants discussed Alexander Tatarevskiy’s report on the topic in addition to their professional experience with and perception of protective judicial, legislative, and administrative mechanisms against sex discrimination in Ukraine. The next roundtable discussion will be about developing a law that would better protect victims of discrimination.
