The Sexual Violence Research Initiative has researched assessment tools for victims of sexual violence in a compilation and evaluation titled “Assessment Instruments Used to Study Healthcare-Based Interventions for Women Who Have Experienced Sexual Violence.” According to their research, twenty-nine tools exist, and almost all deal with evaluating health care, especially mental health, and service delivery. Most of the tools involve evaluation of the actual delivery of care; only one assessment asked women themselves about their reactions to the care received. The assessments are grouped into subject topics of health, service delivery, attitudes, behaviors, and multiple topics.
