Many non-governmental organizations, individual researchers, governments and organizations combined efforts to publish a new chart documenting trends in Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C). The chart documents numerous factors such as prevalence of FGM/C by country, the occurrence in certain age groups, and the type of person performing the FGM/C. The publication of this chart is a step toward ending FGM/C practices. The project was funded by UNAIDS and the BRIDGE Project.
