Kosova's police force said on July 16 that it identified 19 victims of human trafficking during the first half of 2007, the news service KosovaLive reported. A police spokesman, Veton Elshani, said the number does not indicate any rise in the trend, but he noted that prostitution is growing more common. Nine of the victims came from Kosova itself, and another six from Albania.
