With World Poverty Day coming up on October 17, UNIFEM has joined forces with over 100 other women's fund organizations to mobilize people worldwide in anti-poverty campaigns. As part of their mobilization and awareness campaign, UNIFEM has launched a website through which people can educate themselves on the issue of women's poverty and Stand Up! against poverty and inequality by joining the campaign. The hope is that this mobilization effort will spark awareness and create transnational alliances for eradicating poverty.
