In 2010, the Czech Republic had the highest increase in evictions of domestic violence perpetrators since the Act on Protection Against Domestic Violence was first introduced four years ago. According to the NGO, White Circle of Safety, more than 1,000 perpetrators were evicted by police in 2010. This index is thirty percent higher than the number registered in 2009.

In accordance with the Czech legislation, local police are empowered to evict a perpetrator of domestic violence from the home for a period of 10 days. The court can increase this period up to one year.
