The Girl Goals report reviews progress in adolescent girls’ rights since the 1995 Beijing Platform for Action, measuring achievements against global targets set for 2030. While gains in education, healthcare, and reduced child marriage and female genital mutiliation (FGM) are evident, girls still face deep inequalities; especially in digital access, employment, and exposure to violence. One in five girls is still married as a child, and maternal health remains a major threat. The report urges action through supporting girls’ leadership, setting measurable targets, and funding proven, scalable solutions'. For example, if governments' make smart investments, these could unlock transformative change that benefits girls and societies alike.
