Pakistan: Girl Shot by Taliban Sends a Message to the World – I’m Alive

The 15-year-old Pakistani girl, Malala Yousafazai, who was shot in the head by Pakistani Taliban last year, sent a message to the world that she survived the attack and will continue to advocate for girls’ education. “This is a second life; this is a new life. And I want to serve, I want to serve the people,” she said in a recently released video.
Malala was brought to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, England where she went through many surgeries after being shot. Last week the hospital released another video where Malala was talking to her doctor after an operation to implant a device to restore her hearing. Malala states that her “mission is the same, to help people, and I will do that.”
