On July 29, 2025, the Coalición Naranja (Orange Coalition)— a multisector alliance led by the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) in Venezuela— unveiled its new Steering Committee for the June 2025–June 2027 term, composed of María Ignacia Arcaya (Grupo Cisneros), Santiago Otero (Evenpro), and Eugenia Sekler (UNFPA Venezuela), along with a strategic plan to advance UNFPA’s “three transformative zeros”: zero unmet need for family planning, zero preventable maternal deaths, and zero gender-based violence.

Key initiatives include an Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Month with comprehensive sexuality education programs for companies, families, and communities; a large-scale collaborative mural for the “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence”; the “Hablemos Claro” model integrating communication, education, health, and culture to promote sexual and reproductive rights; and partnerships with Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) signatory companies to deliver workplace anti-harassment training—strengthening alliances to promote gender equality and protect the rights of women, adolescents, and youth in Venezuela.
