Canada: Internal Report Faults Government's Approach to Violence Against Women

Canada lags behind other developed countries in addressing gender equality and violence against women, according to an internal government report obtained by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.  The report, prepared by Status of Women Canada for several Canadian ministries, highlights the significant pay gap between Canadian men and women as well as the lack of a “comprehensive national strategy to address violence against women.”
