The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights recently announced that the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women will review the following countries for implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women at the 47th session of the Committee: Burkina Faso, Czech Republic, Israel, Malta, Niger, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Tunisia, and Uganda.
Chad, Comoros, and Lesotho will be reviewed for implementation of the Convention at either the 46th or 47th session of CEDAW. The 47th session is scheduled for October/November 2010.
