Liz Claiborne Inc. recently asked Teenage Research Unlimited (TRU) to create and conduct a survey in order to examine the issue of teen dating abuse. The survey looked at how many teens are or have been in controlling or abusive relationships as well as what their perceptions are about acceptable behavior in a relationship. The findings indicate a large number of teens experience or accept abuse in their relationships and as these teens get older this acceptance of abuse causes problems in their more serious relationships.
