Monday, March 2, 2009 9:15 AM

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) recently published a volume entitled Programming to Address Violence against Women. This is the second volume in a series that focuses on prevention and response tools for violence against women. The publication features eight case studies:  Algeria, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.  The chosen case studies highlight initiatives that have proven successful in combating violence against women. By publishing such a report, the UNFPA hopes to support current efforts in the eight case study countries and encourage other countries to take steps toward ending violence against women.
