Antigua and Barbuda: Clear Rise In Domestic Violence Cases

Alexandrina Wong, Executive Director of Women Against Rape in Antigua and Barbuda, has reported a troubling increase in domestic violence cases across all segments of society. Wong emphasizes how several institutional failures continue to undercut victim support, including the absence of a dedicated domestic violence unit within the police force. Furthermore, Wong also stresses that victims face dismissive attitudes from authorities when attempting to report abuse.
