The European Commission has launched a Civil Society Platform Against Trafficking in Human Beings, which will serve as the new forum for civil society organizations to cooperate on the issue of human trafficking. The Platform will include the efforts of over 100 civil society organizations. The Commission will hold regular meetings and aid in the exchange of important information and resources regarding combating human trafficking. Participating organizations will be able to share experiences and best practices, while expanding their networks and prevention efforts. This collaboration aims to provide better assistance to victims, and enhance outreach to vulnerable populations.

Additionally, the Commission will work towards carrying out the EU strategy on preventing human trafficking. The strategy focuses on prevention, protection for victims, and prosecution of perpetrators.
