Tuesday, January 31, 2023 10:45 AM

In the past four years, 18 women leaders in Honduras have been targeted for femicide, including former congresswoman, candidate and lawyer Carolina Echeverria Haylock, who has spoken out against the femicide.  Honduras has the highest rate of femicide in Latin America.   The Violence Against Public Figures (VAPF) project is compiling a dataset of such incidents across Central America.
