Nepal’s Supreme Court has ruled transgender women should be recognized as women under the law. Whilst analyzing the case of Rukshana Kapala, a transgender woman, the court reached the conclusion transgender women should be legally recognized on all documents without having to submit to medical verification, building on the courts recent progressive rulings on LGBTQIA+ rights.
