Friday, May 19, 2017 1:35 PM

The UN Gender Network brings together academics, civil society, member states and the UN Secretariat in a spirit of conversation and collaboration. The Gender Network’s goal is to achieve a deep understanding of the causes and impact of gender inequality within the UN and the impact this has on the organisation’s leadership of the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as broader development policy. The Gender Network’s core focus is the UN Secretariat, UN Agencies and the working lives of women within those organisations.

Available on the website are links to UN reports, UN bodies, as well as contact details for Gender Network leaders, Dr. Aoife O’Donoghue (Durham University) and Professor Rosa Freedman (Reading University).

The Women’s Human Rights program of the Advocates for Human Rights is a member of the UN Gender Network.
