New Resource: Women Against Violence Europe Publishes a New Issue of Fempower to Address Violence against Women in War

The advocacy organization Women Against Violence Europe (WAVE) has released a new issue of the periodical “Fempower” that focuses on “Women Tackling Violence in Situations of Armed Conflict and in Times of Peace.” Women are currently suffering immense violence as refugees fleeing war zones in Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq and other regions. Fempower’s editors assert that gender based violence is rampant in all areas of armed conflict and that society has a duty to “guarantee safety and access to justice” for women and children fleeing the violence of war.
