Sudan's Combatting Violence Against Women and Children unit has reported widespread rape and other sexual violence during that country's current civil war. Women and girls are reportedly being attacked in their homes and in the streets, almost always by members of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) paramilitary group. An estimated 4.2 million residents have been displaced from their homes during the war.
