Black victims of Catholic clergy sexual abuse have suffered from disproportionate invisibility and lack of support.Racial data is typically not collected, for instance, among the over 600 cases recently documented by the State of Maryland Attorney General's investigation of abuse within the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Some Black victims, both female and male, however, are publicly asking for more documentation and support.
