Ghana has launched a new gender-based violence court that will only accept cases involving violence against women. The court is located in the Sekondi-Takoradi region of Ghana and is funded by the Danish government. The Ghanaian Regional State Attorney, Patience Klinogo, stated that the court was a “major breakthrough” and that it will “serve as deterrence to the perpetrators of violence against women.”
